The inspiration for the Brookline logo: the weeping willow tree planted by Clifford Coldren in 1962 on the lawn of the Coldren homestead. Its original portrait has remained the symbol of quality in retirement living.

Giant willows also lined the small stream that ran through the Coldren farm, inspiring our name, Brookline.

Today, the willows at Brookline in State College stand poised alongside the drive that runs through the village.
