With the mercury dropping and days growing shorter, setting aside time
for exercise is more important than ever! Because we all tend to be more
sedentary in the winter months, making an effort to fit in physical
activity can seem especially daunting; but at The Inn, Windsong and
PineCastle, it’s easy to hit the gym— right in the comfort of your own home. Brookline’s newly-remodeled independent-living and personal care fitness center is located at Windsong, just steps away from The Inn.
Featuring exercise bikes, treadmill, free weights and other equipment, the fitness room is open for the use of all residents. In addition, transportation to and from Windsong is now available.
One-on-one or group fitness plan consultations from Samantha, Jill or Alice may also be scheduled by calling either activity department at ext. 2041 (The Inn) or 2414 (PineCastle).
A variety of low-impact aerobic exercise classes are regularly available, as are several new ones, including Tai chi, and yoga and meditation. Start out the new year on the right foot and find an exercise program that’s just right for you!
